Hijrah House
Hijrah House is a faith-based halfway house in Richmond, VA, that provides free room, board, and support to newly released inmates with no family or financial resources. Its mission is to help former inmates reintegrate into society through job training, financial education, and spiritual guidance, reducing the likelihood of re-incarceration. By offering a stable, faith-centered environment and ongoing community support, Hijrah House empowers individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity. This approach not only transforms lives but also saves society the high cost of repeated incarceration.

Safe Shelter & Nutritious Meals Free room and board for six months.
Faith-Focused Environment Space for prayer, community Eid celebrations, and spiritual healing.
Job Assistance Access to resume building, job training, and a network of employers open to hiring former inmates.
Life Skills Support Financial literacy coaching, transportation to interviews, and mentorship.
Ongoing Community Engagement Continued support and connection after transition.
